The short version
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It shows no advertising and does not follow you to other websites. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser; you can refuse or delete them at any time and the site works exactly the same. Nothing else about your visit is recorded by us beyond the standard access logs every web server keeps.
The only information we receive is what you choose to send us: the contact form, an email, or a phone call. We use it to reply to you and to run your project. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone who is not working on your project.
What we collect
If you use the contact form
The form asks for your name and email address. Everything else is optional: a phone number and how you prefer to be contacted, what you need help with and which rooms, where the property is and what kind it is, when you would like to start, a rough investment range, the styles you like, how you heard about us, a message, and photographs of the space. We ask so that Jan can come to a first conversation prepared; leave out anything you would rather not share.
If you attach photographs, they are resized in your browser, stored with Cloudflare (the company that hosts this website) and reachable only through a private link that is sent to Jan with your message. They are not listed, published or indexed anywhere, and they are deleted automatically after 180 days. To have them removed sooner, just ask.
The form is delivered by a third-party service, Web3Forms (web3forms.com), which passes the message to Jan’s email address. Your message therefore travels through Web3Forms’ systems on the way to us. If you would rather not use a third-party service, email Jan directly or call 214-797-4657 instead — both reach the same place.
If you become a client
Running a design or construction project means we hold ordinary business information: your address, the details of your home, measurements, photographs of the spaces we are working on, correspondence, and billing records. Photographs of finished work are only published with your permission.
Automatically, by the web server
Like every website, this one is served by a web host that keeps standard access logs — typically the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser’s user-agent string. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to build any profile of you, and we do not connect them to anything else.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4, a measurement service provided by Google. It tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where in the world they are, and whether they arrived from a search engine, a link or an advertisement. We use it to understand which parts of the site are useful and which are not.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and collects your IP address, which Google shortens before storing. We see only grouped statistics — we cannot see your name, your email address, or identify you personally from it. We have not enabled advertising features, remarketing or data sharing for advertising purposes.
If you would rather not be counted, you can install Google’s official opt-out browser add-on, block cookies in your browser settings, or use private browsing. The website works exactly the same either way — nothing is withheld from you for opting out.

What we do not do
- No advertising or retargeting. Nothing here follows you to other websites. There is no Meta Pixel, no ad network, no remarketing list.
- No session recording. Nothing records your mouse, your typing or your screen. No Hotjar, no Clarity, no heatmaps.
- No third-party fonts or embeds. The site loads its own files only, apart from Google Analytics.
- No selling or renting of personal information. Ever, to anyone.
- No newsletter list. You will not be added to a mailing list for getting in touch.
How we use what you send
- To reply to your inquiry.
- To prepare a proposal, and to design and manage your project.
- To order materials and coordinate the trades, vendors and workrooms your project needs.
- To invoice you and keep the business records we are required to keep.
We do not use your information for anything else without asking you first.
Who else sees it
Only the people who need it to do the work:
- Web3Forms, for delivering contact-form messages.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and stores any photographs attached to the contact form for up to 180 days.
- Our web host, which stores the site and its server logs.
- Our email provider, because your message arrives as an email.
- Vendors, workrooms, fabricators and trades on your project — and only the details they need, such as a delivery address or a measurement.
- Our accountant, for billing records.
We will also disclose information if the law requires it. Nothing is shared with data brokers, advertisers, or anyone paying for access to it, because there is no such arrangement.
Links to other sites
This site links to a small number of external sites — for example Houzz and ASID, American Society of Interior Designers. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s website, under their privacy policy, not ours. The same applies to the Google Business Profile listing where our reviews are published.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become projects are kept for a reasonable period in case you come back, then deleted. Project records are kept for as long as we have a business reason to hold them — warranty questions, later phases of the same house, and the records tax and accounting rules require us to keep. If you want your information deleted sooner, ask, and we will delete whatever we are not obliged to retain.
Your choices
Write to [email protected] and we will, within a reasonable time and at no charge:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete what we are not legally required to keep.
- Stop contacting you.
You do not need to give a reason, and asking will not affect how we treat you.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We take reasonable care with the information you send us and keep it to the people who need it. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send anything highly sensitive — payment card numbers, government identification numbers — through the contact form or by email.
Children
This site is aimed at homeowners and businesses, not children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If what we do changes — for example if analytics are ever added to this site — this page will be updated before the change goes live, and the date at the top will change with it.
